About silvainees

Thoughtful hire, since 2018

silvainees opened at VivoCity in 2018, not far from the harbour and the bridge that connects the city to Sentosa. Our founders had spent years working in logistics and hospitality and noticed the same recurring problem: vehicle hire in Singapore was either coldly transactional or far too complicated. The middle ground — where someone actually helps you think through the right option for your situation — was largely absent.

So we built that. A small, attentive service where bookings are handled by people rather than automated queues. Where the car is prepared properly before it arrives. Where you can ask questions and receive a considered answer rather than a link to an FAQ page.

Over the years, our clients have included families relocating from abroad, couples marking anniversaries, professionals visiting Singapore on extended work assignments, and visitors who simply wanted to see the island at their own pace. Each booking taught us something. What works, what to ask upfront, which roads are worth taking after dark, which arrangements need more lead time than expected.

We haven't tried to grow into something large. We'd rather stay precise. A service you'd recommend to someone who matters to you because you were confident it would be handled with care.

Pre-Hire Inspection

Every vehicle is inspected before it leaves — mechanicals, tyre condition, interior cleanliness, and fuel. A written checklist is completed for each hire without exception.

Comprehensive Insurance

All vehicles carry coverage that includes third-party liability and collision damage. Documentation is prepared and reviewed before every booking is confirmed.

Scheduled Servicing

Fleet vehicles follow a regular maintenance schedule with a qualified workshop in Singapore. Service records are kept for every vehicle and reviewed quarterly.

Data Protection

Client information is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. We collect only what is needed and do not share personal details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Hire Period Support

A direct contact number is provided with every booking. For extended leases, roadside assistance is arranged and confirmed before the vehicle is handed over.

Post-Hire Review

After each hire, we ask clients how it went. Not a survey form — a straightforward question. The answers shape how we work. We take note of what's said and act on it.

Our team knows them well, and that knowledge shapes the advice we give and the routes we suggest.

Vehicle hire here is often marketed with a list of features rather than a sense of what the experience will actually be like. At silvainees, we try to be more direct. If a particular experience isn't suited to what you're planning — if the timing doesn't work, or the route you have in mind involves logistics we'd want to think through — we'll tell you. We'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone getting the arrangement right than have you discover a problem halfway through your drive.

Our clients come to us from different directions. Some are Singapore residents who want a vehicle for a specific occasion without the overhead of a full rental.
